The College has come to life due to the collaboration between the Ideeënlab and foundation Pandor : the lab already has experience with innovative knowledge transfers for young people through youtube lesson video’s and has an extensive general knowledge base gained by the many projects in the past.

Foundation Pandor is specialized in mentoring kids and young adults to cope with life issues in general.

The Process

  • The Ideeënlab College was designed to provide knowledge transfers through hands-on experience for young people in the age between 12 and 18.
  • There are 5 themes per year, per theme there are 8 weekly gatherings of 1.5 hours in the evening  between 7 and 8.30 pm
  • Every lesson evening starts with theory and ends with practice.
  • Every lesson has a youtube lesson video which is publicly viewable. These video lessons will be in English.

The Courses

Course 1 : Ethical Hacking

The first theme will be Ethical Hacking or otherwise known as IT security.

An ethical hacker is a computer and networking expert who systematically attempts to penetrate a computer system or network on behalf of its owners for the purpose of finding security vulnerabilities that a malicious hacker could potentially exploit.

The course will teach how to understand what happens inside a computer and what the vulnerabilities are once this computer is connected to the internet. They will learn how hackers work and how they break into computer systems. Once they know how this is done, they will learn how to not only detect a vulnerability of a system but have the vulnerability fixed so no hacker can make use of it.

Course 2 : Virtual and Augmented reality

This course will teach how to create virtual and augmented reality apps for the iphone and android phone.

Course 3 : Gamebuilding

This course will teach how to create basic 2D and 3D games

Course 4 : 3D modeling and animation

This course will teach how to model in 3D and how to animate a 3D object.

Course 5 : Internet Of Things ( IOT )

This course will teach how electronics work and how to program an arduino/raspberry pi

Note : The themes are subject to change, also the order in which they are given isn’t set.

The courses will start at Thursday 14th of September at the location of the lab at the Hurksestraat 19 in Eindhoven. They start at 19:00 until 20:30

There are 20 spots available for every course.

The lab uses with so called ‘strippenkaarten’ , these are cards with strips that will be ticked every time someone takes a class.
Every strip will grant access to 45 minutes inside a course.
Each strip will cost 10 euro’s excluding 21% tax, due to dutch tax rules the lab is obligated to charge 21% tax.
The ‘strippenkaarten’ are available in 1 size only : 20 strips. It is also possible to buy less strips on a card, the remainder of the strips will then be crossed out.
First lesson is free.
